"I originally saw Dr. Brand at the Memorial Hospital West Robotics Institute to get a second opinion on my case, and I was impressed right away with the time he took to talk with me about the pros and cons of robotic surgery. Because I'm a nurse and have to lift patients occasionally, it was important me that my recovery time be as short as possible. I was home within 24 hours of the procedure, felt like I was fully recovered a week later, and was back at work two weeks after my surgery.
Not only did they work hard to educate me about a robotic procedure, but my husband and son were able to attend an open house to see the instrumentation and learn about the surgery beforehand, and they gave me an informational DVD to watch at home.
